The bar chart illustrated the distribution of 8 categories of sports which were the most popular among both sexes in New Zealand in 2002.

Overall, girls loved the netball while boys almost hated it. soccer player among men had the most percentage. other games played 18 and 10 percent by boys and girls, respectively.

In one side, 25 percent of women played netball. The second place belonged to swimming by 2.5 percent lower than netball. other sports such as athletics, basketball, tennis, and soccer played approximately 5 percent of girls. In fact, females did not like martial arts and cricket as well as men.

On the other hand, 25 percent of males played soccer and almost half of the females liked swimming. men did not like netball in contrast the women but the tennis and basketball players are around 7 percent in both genders. other sports were placed second by 18 percent of male players.
