The rendered bar graph depicts the number of leisure hours spent by males and females in a typical week in various vocational status over the period of 1998 to 1999.
With regard to men, unemployed men spent maximum hours in leisure time and this was followed by retired males. The respective figures for these categories were around 85 and 83 hours per week. Whereas womem comprised of about 78 hours in a week which was there highest enjoyment time in both unemployed and retired status.
Men emloyer who did full time job had approximately 44 hours of leisure activities on an average a week which was six hours more than leisure hours enjoyed by females in this category. In contrast, there were no case witnessed for men regarding employed part time and househusband while the participation of part time employer women in leisure activities was 40 hours. Fifty hours were spent by housewives on leisure time which was higher than employed women.
To sum up, males had maximum leisure time in all categories than women and employed people had less for leisure activities than retired and unemployed people.
