The bar chart demonstrates how many hours of leisure enjoyed in a typical week between 1998 and 1999, according to gender and employment status.
As can be seen from the graph, it is clearly evident that most of men had more leisure time than women. Moreover, employers had less freetime than unemployed and retired people.
Employed men with full time spent over 40 hours while women just enjoyed slightly below 40 hours. Additionally, the leisure time of unemployed and retired people were double as much as the figure for employees with full time and part time. Unemployed and retired men had approximately 85 hours for relaxing whereas women took about 79 hours a week.
There are no data about employed men with part time and home staying husbands illustrated in the chart. Part-time employed women had less sparetime than women who stay at home doing housework. Housewives spent 50 hours while employed women with part time just had 40 hours weekly. Full-time employers had the least time for relaxing. In contrast, jobless men had the most time in 5 catogories.
