How frequently Americans had meals at fast food restaurants during the period of time from 2003 to 2013 can be revealed as follows.

Overall, people were more likely to eat fast food once a week rather than other given categories.

As regards the first, the figures of people consuming fast food every day, and those who never ate it suffered from a slight decrease at around under 5% of people for the whole period. Similarly, the proportion of people eating fast food several times a week modestly fell by 2% of people despite a slight increase in 2006. Meanwhile, the percentages of Americans who had fast food as a meal once a week and once or twice a month had a reverse trend but with various levels of increase and decrease. Particularly, the former experienced an upward trend with the highest point being recorded at around 25% in 2006, while the latter significantly declined from 25% to 20% of people in the same year. Besides, there was a gradual improvement in the number of fast food meals being consumed by Americans a few times a year in 2003 before staying at the same level with approximately 15% of people at the end of the research period.
