The graph depicts the percentage of American residents eating frequently in junk food restaurant during10 years. Overall, the figure for once or twice a month and that for a few times a year experienced an increase, while other frequencies a decrease.
Looking in details, there was a growth of once or twice a month figure, rising slightly from around 30% to about 33%--the maximum number in this statistical data. Likewise, a few time a year figure presented a gradual increase to roughly 15% before leveling off at the end of the timeline.
However, the percentage of several times a week and that of once a week had a similar pattern. The former climbed to nearly 20% in 2006 from 18% in 2003, and afterwards suffered from a noticeable fall to approximately 16% in 2013. Also, the latter rose to roughly 33% from 31% in 2003, and then declined to 27% in 2013. At the same time, the timeline witnessed a moderate drop in the proportion of people eating every day and never in a fast food restaurant in the first three years before remaining stable at around 2% -the smallest percentage of people who attended to fast food restaurants during the 10 years.
