The bar chart compares the quantity of accidents and injuried commuters per 100 million passenger miles travelled (PMT) on five different types public transport in the year 2002.

Looking at the bar chart from an overall perpective, demand response recorded the highest numbers of incidents and injuries. A reverse pattern was seen toward commuter rail service.

Demand response gained 225 incidents and 173 injuries which was much ten times higher than those of the commuter rail. There were 20 incidents and 17 people were injured on commuter rail.
It is also evident from the provided information that bus and light rail had the same figure for accidents, both standing at 76 PMT unit. Meanwhile, in term of injuries, the former was almost twofold to latter, representing at 66 and 39 respectively. Heavy rail saw lower numbers of such events than the two above, standing at 51 PMT in accidents and 35 injuries.
