The bar chart shows the percentages in a survey’s result of resident’s coffee and tea drinking and buying habits in five Australian cities, namely, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Hobart in the last 4 weeks.

It is immediately apparent that the most anticipated habit of city residents is going to a café with a high percentage ranging from 60 to 64 in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart. For Brisbane and Adelaide, there is a substantial drop to 55 and 49 per cent, respectively.

By contrast, buying fresh coffee seems to be the least favorite habit according to residents who took part in the survey. The percentage in all five cities is under 50. Sydney takes the first place with around 45 per cent and Melbourne follows up with 43 per cent. For the three remaining cities, the percentage is all under 40.

In terms of buying instant coffee, the percentage varies between the previous categories. The highest percentage belongs to Hobart’s citizens, around 53 per cent. For Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, there is a gradual increase from 45 to 52 per cent. Although being the middle habit, the percentage of instant coffee consumed in Adelaide is higher than that of going to a café for merely 1 per cent.
