The chart below shows the total number of minutes (in billion) of telephone calls in the UK, divided into three categories, from 1995-2002.

The chart illustrates the entire time consumption of contacting in the UK in the period of 7 years from 1995.

Overall, the majority of calling lines focuses on three groups: local, global and mobile phones. Although the mobiles had dramatically raised through the time, they still are the lowest percentage of the chart. On the contrary, home phones went up and down gradually, but it was able to keep the highest rate.

The peek minutes which are estimated by millions was up to 90 million, and that is also the top of the triangle of the local - fixed lines, it started at over 70 million minutes and ended nearly similarly. Constantly, the national and international - fixed lines increased and remained its stable increment (at about 5 million minutes annually except for the final two years which were durable).

Regarding the last division, the number of consumers used mobile phones raised strongly every year, about 1 million in the first year, 2 million in the second year, 3 million in the third year but since the fourth year there was an explosion of calls with mobiles ( 10 million each year )
