this bar chart demonstrates the overall amount of time that the UK residence spent on telephone calls,during 1995 to 2002.These calls were consist of three types,the local call,the national and international call and the mobile call.
Compared with the other two categories, the local call held the most time of the total time in the eight years shown.One interesting phenomenon is that,after eight years,the British people spent more time on having phone calls.In 1995,they spent almost 110 billion minutes,but in 2002,the number increased nearly 60 billion.
During this period,people had changed a lot in their calling way.For example,the time of mobile call saw a dramatic development,from less than 10 billion to nearly 40 billion.Although people tend to use the local call as the usual choice,there was a slight decrease happened in 1999,just after the peak of local calls.In contrast,the figure of national and international calls was improved by 20 billion approximately in those years.
