The bar chart and table give information about the change in export earnings of a country for five groups (petroleum products, engineered goods, gems and jewellery, agricultural products, textiles) between 2015 and 2016.
Overall, petroleum products and engineered goods make up the most of earnings. It is also noticeable that all the categories were increased in 2016 except gems and jewellery.
The two main exports were petroleum products, which increased slightly from around $60B in 2015 to about $63B in 2016, and engineered goods ($58B to $61B). Exports of agricultural products and textiles saw an increase in 2016, to roughly $32B. By contrast, the export value of gems and jewellery decreased to about $40B in the same year.
In five export categories, the value of textiles exporting saw the largest growth in 2016, by 15,24%. This was followed by engineered goods, petroleum products, agricultural products, whose export earnings both climbed by 8,5%, 3% and 0.81% respectively. In contrast, Gems and jewellery exporting experienced a significant drop in value, by 5.18%.
