The chart below shows the value of one country’s exports in various categories during 2015 and 2016. The table shows the percentage change in each category of exports in 2016 compared with 2015.
The given bar chart details the value earned( in billion dollars) by a country in the export of five major products. Also, the linked table highlights the proportional change in the value during 2016 as compared to the last year.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the export has increased significantly in all the sections except the Gem and Jewellery, which observed a marginal dip. Despite a marked positive spike in textiles, the export value of petrol and the engineered goods remained at the highest spot.
According to the given illustration, with about 3% and 8.5% rise in the value, the petroleum products, and the engineerd goods led the chart by aquiring a peak value of more than 60 billion dollars. Turning to the agricultural and the textiles, the former grew with a slight uptick of only .81% reaching to half a value of the highest value products. While, with a dramatic spike(up by 15.24%), the latter climbed to nearly 32 billion dollar by the period end.
On the contrary, a sharp plummet of about 5.18% slipped gem and jewellery down to a value earned by textiles in 2016.
