Overall, most of the Americans had a meal once a week in 2003 and 2006. However, the highest frequency of consuming fast-food belongs to one or twice in a month in 2013.

At first, in 2003, whereas having instant food every week had the most proportion (approximately 32%), that of every day and never junk food were the least with 4% and 5% respectively. Next, the frequency of consuming instant food for one time a week reached its maximum percentage to 35% in 2006 which was followed by a downward trend in 2013. In the same manner, several times a week figure started at about 17% and then peaked at 20% in 2006 and experience a fall in 2013. Both the proportion of every day and never eating decreased by approximately 1% in 2006 and then did not change over the following next 7 years.
Moreover, having junk food once or twice a week stood at vicinity of 30% in 2003 after which it reduced by 5% in 2006. After this, it made the most frequency at 33% in 2013. Similarly, a few time a year had an upward trend between 2003 and 2006. It saw a small rise in 2006 and it remained static in 2013.
