Given is the bar chart depicting how much salt people in the US consumed in 2000.
By and large, women ate less salt than men did in all age brackets, beside, only individuals in the youngest group absorbed salt lower than the average intake suggested for adults
As can be seen, boys who were under 6 years old ate 2,250 milligram salt, equal to a half of salt that men from 20 to 39 years old had. Simultaneously, there were 1,300 milligram salt in the diet of under 6-year old girls while that of the 20 to 39 ones were 3,000 milligram every day.
Regarding the other sex, it is recorded that the amount of salt in the meals of men in other age ranges fluctuated between 3500 and 4300 while females, whose ages were from 6 to 60 shared the same proportion of salt that they had on a daily basis, 3000 milligram. In addition, the capacity of the mentioned ingredient per day advised was 2,500 milligram, referencing this recommendation was followed by over 60-year old women.
