The bar chart given indicates the porportion of male and female in an Asian country who achieved their driving licenses from 1980 to 2010. In overall, the percentages of men grew steadily between 1980 and 2010 while the percentages of women rose from 1980 to 2000 but decreased in 2010.
In the first column group, the proportion of female started at nearly 50% at 1980 then increased lightly to more than 50% in 1990, followed by a significant rise of about 15% to closely to 70% in the year 2000 before suddenly fall to approximately 60% in 10 years later. In the other chart group, the same trend as the first one can be found while the percentage of men passing their driving test was nearly 30% in 1980, then increased respectively to about 40% in 1990 and 50% in 2010. Then this proportion remained stable at 50% in 2010.
