The charts compare between the size, rainfall and temperature of three different deserts in different continents. Sahara Desert in Africa, Taklimakan Desert in Asia and Great Basin Deserts in North America.
Among the three deserts, Sahara Desert is the largest where its size up to 9000000 sq. km. The Taklimakan and the Great Basin Deserts are having almost the same size 337,600 sq. km and 305,775 respectively.
The Sahara and the Taklimakan Deserts have the sparest rainfall per year, 7.6-12.7 cm of Sahara Desert and 3.8-1.0 cm of Taklimakan. On the other hand, The Great Basin Desert has a heavy rainfall up to 51 cm per year.
According to the average temperatures that are noticed, the Sahara and the Great Basin Deserts recorded the same temperature in the summer: 30 Celsius, while the average temperature of Taklimakan Desert was 25 Celsius. The winter in the Sahara Desert is much warmer than other deserts with an average: 13 Celsius, while in the Sahara and Taklimakan Deserts the average temperature in the winter were -9 Celsius and -8 Celsius respectively.
The highest temperature in the Sahara and Great Basin Deserts recorded in the summer are 58 Celsius and 57 Celsius. It seems that the Taklimakan deserts has a harsh winter because the extreme temperature receded in the winter was -26.1 Celsius.
Overall, the Sahara Deserts is the biggest, the Taklimakan Deserts is the coldest and the Great Basin has the highest rainfall.
