The chart depicts the percentage of the daily intake of various nutrients the average person in the USA consumes in each meal and in snacks. The comparison is based on four different meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks and Dinner and three different nutrients are considered including Sodium, Saturated fat and added sugar. The chart indicates maximum consumption of nutrients during dinner and minimum consumption during breakfast.

The chart indicates both sodium and saturated fat are consumed in the highest percentage during dinner constituting for 43% and 37% respectively. During other meals the consumption is in between 14-29% for both. Added sugar is consumed heavily during snacks constituting for 42% which can have detrimental effects on health of an individual. Similar trend is followed during lunch, where sodium and saturated fat is consumed around 29 and 26% respectively. The trend is completely opposite during breakfast where the consumption of all the three nutrients is in between 14-16%. This indicates healthy eating habits are followed during breakfast.
