The charts below show the percentage of men and women in different weight groups in England between 1993 and 2002.Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The two charts illustrate the percentage of England population divided by gender in disparity groups of weight from 1993 to 2002.

Generally, english men and women were increasingly overweight, especially the female population. In addition, the proportion of people who were dangerously obesed remained the same over nine years.

In particular, the obesity rate of the male population rose slightly by 5% between 1993 and 2002. Simultaneously, the percentage of english men who were overweight increased to nearly 50% in 2002, whereas that percentage of english male who had a healthy weight declined significantly to just under 40%.

Compared with the change in the weight of the male population, that of english female is quite similar. The proportion of women who gotten obesity and those who were overweighted also experienced an increase trend from just over 10% and around 48% to just under 20% and almost 50% respectively. There was a dramatic drop in the figure of women whose weight is considered to be healthy, about 9%, which is just as same as the trend of the men population.
