The bar graphs illustrates the proportion of undergraduate and postgraduate pupils who did not opt to go into full-time work after finishing college studies. The figures are given for the year 2008.
Overall, it is clearly seen that, majority of the graduate and postgraduate students went for higher studies after leaving college. Furthermore, it can be seen that, the number of students who went for voluntary works after college was low compared to the others.
Firstly, in 2008, almost 30000 undergraduate students went for higher studies after leaving college, while for postgraduate students this figure was lower, at around 2800. Just above 2500 postgraduate students opted for part-time jobs, whereas, in graduates this figure was higher, at around 17800.
Seconldy, around 1600 postgraduate students were unemployed during the period, however; interestingly, in the case of graduate students there was tenfold increase in this figure. Finally, about 350 postgraduates opted for voluntary work after leaving college, whereas, for graduates this figure was higher, at around 3500.
