The column graph shows the rate of consumers(in three age groups) taking healthy food between 2011 and 2016.
The given column graph details the proportional change that happened over a period of 6 years from 2011 to 2016 in the context of consumption of nutritional and healthy food surveyed across three different age -groups.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that despite a few fluctuations, healthy food remained popular among teenagers. The other groups also witnessed some ups and downs but recorded the lowest proportional rate compared to the teenage group with the passing years.
According to the given illustration, leading the chart during the first two years, about 7 or more in every 10 teenagers liked the healthy food option. Followed next by the mid-group who slipped below the youngest group by just 5%. However, the last group(31 to 40) rose steadily by only 5% as opposed to 35% in the previous year.
Furthermore, 2013 and 2014 marked the year of the reverse trend. Whilst the youngest group fell back by 10 to 20%, an additional 1 in every 4 people in their twenties opted healthy diet, and a dramatic plummet dragged the last group by one-third of the previous proportion. However, by the end, the first group recovered the highest proportion of 68%, while the others dropped below by a quarter and half of the most popular group.
