The diagram below show the life cycle of a species of large fish called the salmon.Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The diagrams illustrate the life cycle of salmon, consisting of three main stages in different environmentand of different size. Overall, salmon enter into lower river after being born in upper river and finally lives its longesr life in the open sea.
In the first stage called "fry" as is shown in the diagrams, salmon eggs are spawned at the bottom of upper river, surrounded by small stones and hidden at the bottom of river reeds. Water slows quite slowly here where salmon stays approximately 5 to 6 months before migrating to the lower river when it grows to 3-8 cm in length.
Salmon stays about four years in the fast moving lower river at the second stage, namely "smolt". After that, salmon swims to the next destination before its length has become 12-15 cm.
The open sea is the third destination of salmon, where it grows as "adult salmo", and reached the longest of its size between 70-76 cm for around five years.
The salmon, afterwards, head back to the upper river from the open sea to cycle its life.
