The given process illustrates how to generate hydroelectric power in a particular station.
In general, there are various stages in this linear process, commencing with water of the river is stored in a high-level reservoir and concluding with producing electricity into the national grid.
At the start of the process, the water is blocked in a high-level reservoir by a dam and the intake under the dam controls the status of the system. The system is active on the day when intake opens, and it has fresh time at the night when intake closes. After the gate opens, the water flows into the power station. Here, the flow of water makes a turbine rotates and the generator produces electricity to the national grid. The water is stored in a low-level reservoir before it is pumped back into the high-level store in the nighttime by the reversible turbine. The turbine has 2 functions including operating the generator in the daytime and pumping water at night.
