The diagram below shows how to make organic fertilizer from organic waste step by step.
First, a plastic container with some openings around in order to allow the air getting inside. Its volume is normally estimated at about two cubic meters. Secondly, newspaper grass and waste food are put into that plastic container, which height being about 15 meters. They are mixed together totally before being put into container. Meanwhile, some types of microorganism are classified into organic waste as catalyst for composting process. Following this, nitrogen is added to the mixture, so that the composting temperature is stable, which helps microorganism to operate at the maximum and that need to be maintain. Since moisture also affects microbial activity, water is added to the organic mixture on hot and dry weather.
After this, heat vapor is placed under plastic container and organic fertilizer is composed with proper temperature and humidity. This process takes about six months, while the mixture is often checked and stirred to ensure they do not dry out. After six months of incubation, when the organic waste decomposes completely, they will be taken to fertilize plants. This type of organic fertilizer provides nutrients for plants as well as chemical fertilizers does.
Generally, using organic fertilizers not only help plants grow and get nutrients in a healthy way, but also help organic waste not to be wasted. Therefore, it should be encourage to be widely used to help the environment become cleaner and develop a sustainable agricultural.
