The diagram below shows how to recycle organic waste to produce fertilizer (compost).
The diagram gives data on the production of fertilizer which is made out of recycled organic waste material.
Overall, there are five steps included in the process in order to come up with compost.
Firstly, there is a 2 cubic meter plastic container with some openings around so as to allow the air to get inside. Next, the container will serve as a basin where newspapers, grass, and wasted food will be kept at an accurate measurement and order. Food waste should fill the tank up to 15 cm from the bottom, followed by 15 cm of grass and newspapers on the top which does not exceed the second air vent. Following this, nitrogen and water are added to the mixture and it should be noted that only hot water can be excepted accepted.
At the four-step, the plastic receptacle will be kept closed and heated continuously over 6 months. It can be seen that during this stage, the gas released from the mixture heated escapes through the air slots. Finally, after six months of incubation, the product which is compost is formed and ready to go for gardening.
