The diagram explains the production of chocolate.
The given diagram details the step by step procedure showing how chocolate is produced in a factory setting.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that this man-made process undergoes ten stages. The starting point involves the collection of raw material, followed by harvesting, fermentation, drying, landing in a factory for roasting, crushing, and finally is pressed to produce the end result.
According to the given illustration, the process starts with procuring the ripened pods from the cacao trees which are mainly grown in South America, Africa, and Indonesia. Then, white cacao beans are extracted from the harvested beans before entering the stage of fermentation. From there, once fermented in the previous step, the beans are dried completely under the sunlight. After that, they are stored in huge bags to be ready to get transported to factories for further treatment.
In the next stages, the beans are roasted at a high temperature of 350-degree Celcius. Later, the removal of the outer shell takes place prior to crushing the beans. In the end, the inner part is pressed in big equipment to get the final product as liquid chocolate, which is then prepared to be consumed.
