The flow chart illustrates how plastic products are handled.
Overall, plastic products can be either turned into future recycling process or stored in landfill. Recycling process is way longer than storage of rubbish in a landfill, and contains five steps, before its turned back to retail. However, landfill process has just two stages.
In both cases, plastic products are firstly sorted by humans, after being purchased in retail stores, they are either wasted or turned into recycling collections point. If plastic product is not suitable for future recycling process, its throw into a rubbish and stored in landfill. However, if future recycling is possible, selected plastics are handled to recycling collecting point.
After being sorted in warehouse, in next step, all separated plastics are transported, by lorry, into a processing factory, where using unspecified technology and processes are turned into future products suitable for packing. Being packed, food and beverages are ready to be sold in shop. From this stage all process can be repeated.
