The second most preferred means of transport is LRT, where the passengers account for 35% of the Edmonton residents. The figure for people who travel by taxi or bus comes in sharp contrast with the aforementioned ones, at only 10%.
In terms of the reasons why people living in Edmonton prefer the car to the other means of transport, the highest figure is that for commuting, at 55%. 45% of the residents use the car for business purposes an slightly fewer people (40%) drive their children to school.
