The diagrams show a structure that is used to generate electricity from wave power.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The diagram illustrates a device that is use to produce electricity from the rise and fall of sea water.

The structure is built on cliff or sea wall and consist of 3 main parts. The first part is the huge column which will allow the air to flow in and out of the equipment. Inside the column there is a turbine that will spin when air circulated inside the tube. The last thing is a chamber with one end is opened to the sea and the other is connected to the column.

The first picture shows that when the sea level rises, water in the chamber puts pressure into the air and pushes it out through the column. This movement of air makes the turbine spin and thus creates electricity.

The second one gives detail about how the equipment runs when the wave retreats. As the sea level decrease the air is sucked back into the chamber. Consequently, this creates force to make the turbine spins and give out electricity.

In both process the turbine always spins in the same direction
