It is clear from the chart that, in the beginning, the percentage of renting accommodation were the highest while owing numbers were the lowest. It shown that the percentage of households in owned were gradually drop for about 20% during 1918 to 1961. Then it was apparent that the number of owing households became remarkably drop from 60% in 1961 to approximately 30% in 2001, and shown a slightly rise in 2011.
In contrast, the households in owned accommodation was the lowest at 20% in 1918. Despite some fluctuation between 1939 and 1971, there was a significant increase in 2001 which was 70% at that time. However, it became slowly decrease in 2011.
