The first pie chart explains the average energy usage in an Australian house and second pie chart gives information regarding greenhouse gas emissions from this activities.

Overall, large portions of the energy are used for heating the house and water. But, green house gas emited from water heating process and other electronic appliances usage contributes to major part.

To begin with the details of energy usage, About 42% of all the household energy is used for central heating and it forms the largest percentage. On the otherhand, water heating consumes only 30% of the total energy. Eventhough refrigeration utilise 7% of electricity, all other electronic gadgets use 15 % only. Energy used for cooling and lighting are negligible falling to 2% and 4% respectively.

Moving on to the descriptions of greenhouse gas emissions, most of it are released during the process of water heating(32%). Although central heating emit CO2, it will come just half(15%) compared to previous one. 14% of the gases are contributed by refrigeration and it is similiar to central heating. Likewise, greenhouse gases released from electronic appliances together (28%) is just double the refrigeration alone. The greenhouse gases from cooling and lighting are unaccountable.
