The table indicates information about the underground railway systems in six famous cities.

London was the earliest city opening the subway system in 1863. It was earlier than other cities from 37 to 138 years which was over a century. Moreover, London also had the longest railroad with 394 kilometres. Because of the early development, the number of passenger in London was the second high of six cities with 775 million people pay for this subway. On the other hand, the latest construction of the subway system in Los Angeles was opened in 2001. Having 28 kilometres of route, Los Angeles’s underground system received 50 million passengers each year. Meanwhile, the earlier system opened in 1981 in Kyoto was even shorter with just 11 killometres so just 45 million passengers annually. Slightly, the system in Washington DC just contained 126 kilometres and had 144 million people pay for a trip each year. Both Paris and Tokyo opened the system in early 19th century and both had the ideal number of passengers with orderly were 1191 and 1927 million passeners every year.
In conclusion, those systems operated before the middle of 19th century seemed to more develop than those went into active after that period.
