The line graph illustrates how many grams of junk food was being consumed, over two decades, from 1970 to 1990, by the Britain's.
Overall, the amount of fast food namely hamburgers and pizza eaten went up drastically in this 20 years period; however the consumption of fish and chips experienced a decline of 1/3 by the year 1990.
With regards to hamburger, about 90 g very eaten per week by the masses of UK, the figures rose steadily for the following 10 years and reached 150 g, in 1980. A sharp increase was seen during the year 1985 and 1990 as the figures surged three fold and five fold respectively. Pizza, in the meantime, echoed the same trend and reached just below 300 g per week from approximately 50 g per week by starting of 20th century.
Conversely, the rate of consumption of fish and chips tumbled to two thirds of the value in 1970, followed by a collective of around 200 g of consumption per week within the period 1980 to 1990.
