GRANGE PAEK
The maps illustrate the main changes which have taken place in a public park from 1920 to the present moment.
Overall, the park has experienced considerable changes in terms of facilities and architectural features.
Firstly, the number of seats and rose gardens was reduced. Two main entrances from Arnold Avenue and Eldon Street remained unchanged, but a new entrance for cars had been built in the underground. In 1920, there was a pond for water plants in one corner of the park and it was then removed to construct a play area for children. Furthermore, the café was built near this zone as well.
A greenhouse, which was on the right bottom of the park, was demolished to build a water feature. Furthermore, the left side of the park used to be a rather small stage for the musician. Now it is replaced with an amphitheater to provide seats for audiences of concerts. There is no longer a fountain in the center of the park since it is converted into a bigger rose garden surrounded by seats.
