The graph and table below give information about water use worldwide and water consumption in two different countries.Cambridge 6 test 1 task 1

The line graph illustrates global water use in three different sectors between 1900 and 2000.
Overall, it is obviously seen from the graph, all of the sectors were showed upward trend in water use over the period. We can also see that water consumption in Brazil was overwhelmingly higher than in Congo.
In 1900, using water in agriculture was nearly 500 km^3. From 1900 to 1950, the consumption of water in agriculture rose to approximately 1000 km^3 and then it showed a sudden rise of 2000 km^3 in 2000. On the other hand, even if industrial and domestic water use were similar to each other over the period, industrial use jumped to almost 1000 km^3 when domestic use remained by nearly 300 km^3 in 2000.
In the year 2000, the population of Brazil and Congo were 176 million and 5.2 million respectively. It is clearly seen that water consumption of per person in Brazil (359 m^3) was much higher than in Congo. Moreover, Brazil consumed more water while Congo spend less water in irrigated fields with 26500 km^2 and 100 km^2 respectively.
