The graph below gives information about car ownership in Britain from 1971 to 2007

This report is going to summaries the information presented on line graph compared the percentage of British people, who were the owners of one car, two cars, three or more cars and had no car between 1971 and 2007.

After giving a quick look on graph, it is clear that the proportion of two and three or more than three cars owners rose steadily,while, this figure took a nosedive over a given period of 36 years.

Giving a cursory glance on line graph, it is manifest that in 1971, the percentage of no car owners was the highest, which was just under the half, whereas, the rate of one car, two cars, and three and more than three cars owners was stood at around 42% , 8% and 2% respectively. In the terms of one car ownership, after some fluctuations the proportion of Britishers remained similar at the end, which was almost 45%. The number of no cars owners declined gradually at around 48% in the year 1971 to almost 25% in the year 2007.

When it comes to two cars and three or more cars owners, these figures showed similar trends. Approximately a quarter of total Britishers had the ownership of two cars, while, this data rose steeply for three or more cars.
