Overall, it can be seen that hiking was the most popular activity during the period. We can also see that the proportion of internet surfers increased throughout the period.
To begin, in the 1980s, elderly people who surfed the Internet was only around 5%.also about 20% of the people were interested in hiking and only less than a third were into reading. The figures for individuals who preferred cinema was around 50%, whereas, three-fifths of the people preferred watching TV.
In the 1990s, the proportion of hiking and reading rose to 40%, but by the end of the period the figures for hiking increased to 80%, while reading only rose to 60%. Compared to the past, in the 2010s the percentage of elderly people who went to cinema declined to 45%,whereas the amount of Internet surfers increased to 50%. Finally, those who watched TV was around 65%.
