The graph below shows trends in US meat and poultry consumption.

The line graph shows the amount of meat and poultry which was consumed per person over a period of 56 years in the U.S (measured in pounds).
Overall, it can be seen that beef had some fluctuations throughout the period as a whole, while Broilers saw a considerable increased since its first appearance in 1961. On the other hand, there were no significant changes in pork and turkey.
It is clear that beef which is the most popular type of meat fluctuated around 60 pounds at first, and hit the highest value on record of 90 pounds in 1976, after which there was a gradual fall to nearly 50 pounds in 2012. Broilers experienced a sharp growth from 15 pounds and reached a peak of 60 pounds in 2006.
Regarding the least favourite one is turkey which saw a slight increase from 5 pounds to approximately 15 pounds in 1997 and stays unchanged until 2012. The figure for pork fluctuated between 40 and 54 pounds and maintain the same level in the last years.
