The diagram depicts different steps through which rainwater collected, processed and released for reuse for domestic consumptions. Overall, it is notable that there are four main interrelated steps in the procedure, beginning with collecting water from rain and ending with discharging treated one into the river.
At the first stage of the process, rainwater is gathered in two ways. To be specific, rainwater falling on the rooftop can collected in a tank placed adjacent to the house before being taken into the house for domestic use. Meanwhile, a dam is used to collect water and this water is sent to a waste treatment plant, which is followed by the production of clean water for drinking.
During the next step, household wastewater is taken to the treatment plant from which excess treated water is releasing into the river and the treated water is drawn back to for consumption again. In the interim, surface runoff water in the form of stormwater is preserved and made to flow directly into waterways nearby.
