The line graph below shows the land used for organic crops in two countries between 1985 and 2010 Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant

The line plot demonstrates the amount of land which is used for producing organic food of two countries from the year 1985 to 2010.

Overall, what stands out from the graph is that after a certain time in both countries the production increased rapidly but suddenly it climbed down and ended at almost the same amount.

In 1985 the two countries began from the same amount of organic cultivated land which was 25 thousand hectares, then it was raised gradually until 1990. After that, in 2000, both countries reached their highest amount of land. In the case of country A, the amount was close to 300, approximately 275 thousand hectares, while country B was less than almost 100 thousand hectares. In 1996 solid and dotted lines intersect with each other, which means both countries had the same amount of land.

After 2000, the organic farming land in both countries started to decrease slowly, whereas in 2005 the difference between them remained approximately 100 thousand hectares. Then in the case of country A the line went down sharply and ended below 150 thousand hectares. Same for country B but not as sharply as country A and stopped at 150 thousand hectares.
