The line graph illustrates the changes in the proportion of visitors who went to four different tourist attractions in Brighton.
Overall, it is clear that the percentage visiting the Art Gallery and Festival fell over the whole period,while the proportion of visitors to other attractions increased. In 1980,only 10% of tourists went to Brighton Pier. After many minor fluctuations, this figure increased significantly from 12% to over 20%. Over the year, the percentage visiting Pavilion came to first and reached peak of nearly 50% in 1995. But it then fell sharply to just over 30% in 2010,higher than the Festival.
The most famous Brighton attraction in 1980 for visitors to England was Festival. Although almost 40% of visitor attended the festival in 1985.By 2010,this figure decreased slightly to 28% . In 1980,the figure for visitors to Art Gallery was over 21%. It rose to a peak of less than 40%. Then this figure went down dramatically to under 10%, which was the least popular attractions at the end of the period.
