The line graph depicts the number of the books that were borrowed from different four libraries over a four months period in 2014, while the pie chart illustrates the proportion of the borrowed books in terms of genre. It is immediately apparent that the borrowing patterns for each library were quite varied, and the fiction was by far the most popular type of books which have been loaned.

In the line graph, it can be seen that the Rye Slip was the most popular library at the beginning with 300 books borrowed, which later on faced a significant decline in the number of books over the period to reach about 175 books by the end of September. In contrast, West Eaton and Church mount libraries witnessed a slow and steady rise by starting at 50 and finishing at 150 books over the same period. Regarding the fourth library, Sutton Wood which was the second most preferred library at 250 books borrowed in June plummeted 100 books in August before rose sharply to reach 300 books in September.

The pie chart shows that fiction was the type of the books that mostly requested at 43% which made up nearly half of the total borrowed books, followed by biography accounting for around a fifth of the total at 19%. Interestingly, history and science books had shared the same percentage at 14% each. However, merely 10% of self-help books were loaned out throughout the period.
