The given maps illustrate the transformation of a waterfront area of Darwin town in 2014 compared to 2009.

Overall, the waterfront area witnessed radical changes with the most noticeable being the construction of more houses, a new university and a new harbour, and became a greener place thanks to the demolition of two industrial zones.

In 2014, the circle path has experienced a slight change with a new footpath leading to the main road while an erection of a swimming pool replaced the industrial area in the North West. However, school, convention centre, lake, and swimming pools have remained unchanged from 2009.

In the South, residential building was greatly extended to two building rows, together with the construction of a university building in the South West. Additionally, many trees were planted in the land which industrial area was flattened and a harbour was established in the sea, in 2014.
