The given pictures depict the development occurring in Youngsville in New Zealand between 1980 and 2005.
Overall, the area underwent several changes, the most significant of which is the disappearance of trees and houses to make way for industrial infrastructure, such as skyscrapers, factories, or railways.
To the north of River Alanan, a park and a parking lot to the south and the north of the lake respectively were built in 2005 at the expense of the green area. While there was an addition of recreational activities in the lake area, the hospital to the southwest of the lake remained unchanged. Houses along the coast were replaced by an extension of the railway line and the construction of a stadium and another parking area. Additionally, a marina was erected near the railway bridge.
Moving south, accommodation and woodland once again were transformed into factories and warehouses. Similarly, there was an erection of skyscrapers near the sea coast in place of residential and green areas that existed 25 years earlier. Moreover, schools, airports, and parking areas experienced no change in their positions throughout the period.
