the maps show changes that took place in Felixstone from 1967 to 2001
The 2 maps illustrate how Felixstone has been changed from 1967 to 2001.
As can be seen in the picture, Felixstone has undergone a significant transformation after the construction of several buildings over the given period.
In 1967, there was farmland in the upper right corner of the map but it was replaced by a hotel including a swimming pool and 2 tennis courts. The beach was divided into 2 parts: public and private beach in 2001. There was a fish market and a marina pier that exchanged into a private beach. There was still a coffee shop in this town between 1967 and 2001.
On the left-hand side, the hotel near the café expanded with a car park in 2001. Beside that, dunes were reduced to accommodate wind turbine Moreover, Felixstone in 2001 planted more trees on the left hand of the picture. However, a golf course, shops and a high street did not change during the period.
