The maps show improvements that have been made to a university campus between 2010 and the present day.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The two given maps illustrate the development of a University campus from 2010 to the present.
It can be easily noticed that the campus has expanded considerably over those eleven years. Among all buildings, only the northwest student accommodation is present nowadays, while the others have been demolished and replaced by new ones. There have been constructed two additional student flats. While one flat is in the proximity of the former one, the other is placed on the opposite side of the campus, replacing some shops and a restaurant. However, students did not lose access to those facilities as shops have been moved to the southwest side. In the same complex was relocated the University office too. The north is now dedicated to teaching buildings. If in the past there used to be a compact block that contained both the arts and science buildings, nowadays each subject has its individual place. The recreational space consists in a lake placed in the centre of the campus. Still, in the past, this place was surrounded by green space with a sitting area.
