The pie charts below show the main reasons why students chose to study at a particular UK university in 1987 and 2007

The pie graph illustrates the percentage of 5 major elements had an impact on the choice of UK colleges of students in 1987/2007.
Looking at the graph, it is immediately clear that there were upward trends in the proportion of 3 reasons( Suitable degree courses, which hold the lion’s share of the total, Close to parental home, and Quality of teaching) while the two remainders went down significantly in both two years.
In 1987, the appropriate degree sources were the largest factor, accounting for more than a third of the total( 35%). In addition, over two decides, that keeper to gain more popularity, reaching exactly at 37%. Furthermore, this pattern can be seen at Near home reason and Quality of teaching reason. In particular, the ahead made up 22% in 2007, twice as high as its proportion in the part. The remainder witnessed a slight increase of 3%, from 15%.
By contrast, the rate of the reason for sports and activities experienced a sharp decline, dropping to 19% to 6%, more than three times.
