The charts are given below reveal information about the consumption of water for various purposes such as industrial use, agricultural use and domestic use in six areas of the world. It is evident that Africa and Asia consumed water for agricultural use more than other areas.
In these 6 areas, the percentages of domestic use were under 20%. In addition, central Asia and South East Asia had the same percentage of water usage in domestic use by reaching 7% and also Africa consumed water for domestic use just over it by 9%. These 3 areas had also a similar percentage in agricultural use. South East Asia, Africa and central Asia consumed water 81%, 84% and 88% respectively in agriculture. However, the consumption of water in North America and Europe was different. Most of the consumption of water belongs to industrial use by reaching 48% and 53% in North America and Europe respectively. In Europe 15% of water used for domestic use which is 2% more than that in North America and 32% of water used for agriculture which is 7% less than that in North America. The consumption of water in South America was almost similar to Africa and Asia and most of the consumption of water belongs to agriculture by 71%.
Overall, it is evident that the consumption of water in North and South America was totally different. The consumption of water in North America is almost similar to Europe and in South America is similar to Arica, central Asia and South East Asia.
