The pie charts below show the share of Oscar winners by film genre for 2003 and 2008.

The pie chart provides information about the blockbuster genres ( Thriller, documentary, romance, action, horror, comedy, science fiction) which were awarded with Oscar between 2003 and 2008.
Now, turning to the detail in 2003 the fraction of thriller genre witnessed almost a half, before it reduced to a third in 2008. The number of Oscars at the action soared tediously by around10 percent in 2008, despite of the fact that it was nearly a quarter in 2003. In addition to, the number for documentary remained the same level with trifling minorities in both years.
In comparison with the first year of science fiction leaped mildly to small portion which continued climbing with a tiny proportion in the next following year. In 2003 there was not any slight uplift or other changes in comedy and romance, turning to after five years it stayed in a similar fashion. The last type of film was horror that the achievement reached a soft upsurge to about15 percent in 2003, followed by a progressive plummet to somewhere in the vicinity of 5 % in 2008.
Overall, as you can see there was a declivity in thriller and an acclivity in action with remaining stability in other kinds such as horror, documentary and romance.
