Plan A below shows the ground floor of a partcular art gallery in 2005. Plan B shows
the same area in the present day.
The pictures illustrate the changes in the ground floor of a particular art gallery from 2005 to present.
Overall, it is clear that while some features remain unchanged, there have been some substantial renovations in the layout of the gallery, which mostly took place on the left side of the ground. A number of existng features have been converted, while a number of new facilites have been added to the building in general.
In 2005, there were a series of steps leading to the main entrance, which have been redesigned with an addition of smooth ramp for people who use wheelchairs. Furthermore, the reception area has been altered from the retangular desk to a circular one and moved to the center of the entrance hall. The fourth exhibition room at the south-east of the area in 2005 has been replaced by an interactive children’s area, which is not totally isolated from the hall.
Looking at the plans in more details, part of the fourth exibition room and the gallery office have been renovated into a single room where temporary exhibitions take place. There were café and shop at the upper right side of the area, which is now a gallery shop with a row of vending machines at the front. The stairs to the upper floor have been narrowed to half of initial size in order to install a new lift.
