Plan A below shows a health centre in 2005 Plan B shows the same place in the present day

Essay topics:

Plan A below shows a health centre in 2005. Plan B shows the same place in the present day.

The two given maps show how a health centre has changed between 2005 and now.
In general, many significant changes have been made to this health centre, such as the appearance of new rooms and the renovation in layout.

In the present day, a car park to the south was expanded its capacity from 12 to 30 spaces. In addition, an entrance to the south in 2005 is now moved to the south-west, which also led to the relocation of a reception desk to this direction in order to make sure it is easy to reach from the entrance. Moreover, due to this adjustment, an office to the west was reduced in size, and a CR3 to the south-west was shifted to the south-east, where CR1 used to be, so as to make way for the introduction of a children’s play area.

Furthermore, there is the relocation and increase in the number of CR rooms, from three to four. The CR1 and CR2 to the east are diminished and moved to the south, where the former entrance was, while a new CR4 is constructed in the erstwhile CR2’s land to the east. Besides, a minor operations room is built to the north-west, which is near the office. Lastly, a physiotherapy room to the north-east stays unchanged during the period of time.
