The plans below show a student room for two students and a student room for one student at an Australian university.
The two maps illustrate the prices and features of two kinds of student room: single room and a double room at an Australian university.
Overall, the main differences between the two rooms are the price, the size, the features, and the number each room can accommodate. Having the same layout with a single room, the double room is slightly more spacious and equipped with more furniture even though it costs less per each individual.
Paying $200 per week, the student is provided a 15 square meters area with some basic equipment such as stove, sink, television, study desk, bed, and a bathroom. Meanwhile, the double room costs $350 per week for two people with a space of 24 square meters. Its interior is similar to the single room for the most part, with more furniture. A bookshelf is added next to the bathroom and the kitchen is rearranged for giving more space enough for a table and chairs. Besides, the number of bed and study desk is doubled to serve two students in a room.
